Church in Palermo

After dropping my stuff off at the hotel, we went to church in Palermo. I met Brenda's friend Regina.

I got to see this lovely couple who I shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with during my time in Palermo.

I got the "Provo King" burger. I'm not sure where they got the name from, but I liked it.

Maru and I at the book fair

Regina invited Brenda and I to go volunteer at the book fair where we taught people about Family Search. Maru served her church mission in England with Noé. A fun connection for sure! It was also fun speaking spanish again and explaining how people can record their family history.

Instead of the White House, Argentina has the Pink House.

Japanese Gardin

Our next stop was the Japanese Gardin. It was not too big of a garden and only took about an hour to walk through.

I hope that I can grow trees as cool as this one someday, instead of accidently killing them. 😔

There is also a small cultural center in the garden with tables set up to make origami.

Palermo Apartment

While walking down the street, I recognized an apartment complex I used to live in. I remember buying tupperware containers at the shop next door.

I couldn't visit South America without having one of my favorite Peruvian dishes.

Air Hockey

Brenda and I went to an arcade where we played a variety of games. They had gaming computers that were play by the hour. I wish those still existed in the US and the ones that do weren't so expensive.

Guardianes de la Galxia

Time to watch in Spanish! I definitely got more of the plot this time through. Hopefully the English version with clear up any remaining questions I have 😅.

Claudia!

Tuesday was my day with Claudia. After two year, it was great to see her in person again. Our friendship has really grown over these last couple years.

Claudia and I went to the classic art museum where we admired a lot of European paintings and sculptures, with a few local artists in the mix. We only walked through the first floor before getting too tired.

There's really a ton of stuff in this area from law schools, to museums, to parks. It is a great place to spend a day.

Mostaza

Claudia claims that Mostaza is the best fast food burger restuarant. The Abasto Shopping had many burger chains to choose from if we had decided to do a taste test. While eating, we called up Bailey Diaz, who was with me when I first got to know Claudia.
